Determination solid for day two

DAY TWO: Coverage of the dispute has been encouraging.

Press Gazette reported on the euphoria, even though PA had been contributing to the papers.

Hold the Front Page gave the PA line, quoting a spokeswoman as saying they would continue supplying the titles throughout the dispute.

The NUJ’s own site is covering events too – and support continues to grow on the Save Leeds’ Local Newspapers group on Facebook. (Members are pleased that Facebook has reverted to previous terms and conditions, rather than trying to “steal” the rights to all material posted on the site.)

Ironically, The Guardian appears to have reported a 20-minute crash on the BBC London website while – at 9am today, still ignoring what we think is the biggest strike in regional newspapers in the UK for more than 20 years.
