President and vice-president visit Leeds picket line

DOZENS of pickets have again been lining the road outside Yorkshire Post Newspapers’ building in Leeds this morning – as journalists there began a second four-day strike.

Among those adding their weight to the protest against threats to the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post were this year’s NUJ president James Doherty and vice-president Pete Murray, both of whom had travelled from Glasgow to be there.

Crews from Calendar and Look North were there too, so more about the action should appear on today’s regional news programmes.
